10 Displaced In Billowing 3-Alarm Fire In Lowell

A 3-alarm fire broke that out in the early morning hours brought first responders rushing to the scene, officials say.

The house fire brought firefighters to Andrews Street in Lowell around 4 a.m. this morning, according to the Lowell Fire Department. 

Videos posted by Lowell Scanner on Twitter show fire and smoke billowing out of the multi-story home. 

Ten people were displaced because of the blaze, WCVB reported.

One of the displaced residents is Edwin Lugo, who lost everything in the fire, according to a GoFundMe created by his boss.

"He is one of my best workers and this news has hit all of us hard here at Whitsons Culinary Group," wrote his boss, Cesar Torres. "Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he begins to assess his next steps towards recovery."

There were no injuries, the Lowell Fire Department told Daily Voice.

No information about the cause of the fire has been released.
